Plants and Herbal Ingredients:
Aloe Barbadinsis Leaf Extract (Aloe Vera) helps with cuts, burns, bruises, skin irritations, eczema, acne, skin disorders, inflammation, is moisturizing, softening, and aids in pain relief, is called a “Rejuvenater” and has soothing qualities and is a good balancing agent for other herbals and essential oils.
Equisetum Hiemale Extract (Horsetail) or shavegrass is considered an Astringent, anti-fungal agent, a Calmative, a cleanser; is rich in trace minerals and improves the healing of cuts, bones, bruised flesh and cartilage. Good for Eczema, acne, skin disorders and pain relief.
Laminaria Saccharina Extract (Blue Green Algae) has a balanced source of vitamins, minerals, amino acids and essential fatty acids: a nutritional aid for hair, skin and nail growth. Also used as colorant for Divine Response Mint Condition.
Scutellaria Galericulata Extract (Skullcap) helps reduce hair loss and is a stimulative for hair growth.
Humulus Lupulus Extract (Hops) are the female flower of the hop vine (Humulus lupulus) and used to treat itchy skin, rashes and hives. Helps stimulate collagen production and is moisturizing and softening to skin.
Carum Petroselinum Extract (Parsley) helps with thinning hair, stimulates hair growth.
Urtica Dioica Extract (Nettle) cleansing aid, aids in internal and external circulation, cuts, bruises, eczena, acne, skin disorders, pain relief. Cell Stimulant.
Arctium Jajus Extract (Burdock root) rids calcification and heavy metal deposits within the mouths of the follicle and skin and reduces clogged pores.
Mentha Piperita Extract (Peppermint) is an antiseptic and anti-inflammatory, helps with skin irritation. Stimulates hair growth by encouraging oxygen to the skin’s surface.
Achillea Millefolium Extract (Yarrow) aids in cleansing, helps with hair loss by encouraging internal and external circulation. May help with inflammation, and has moisturizing, softening, and soothing qualities.
Hibiscus Rosa Sinensis Extract (Hibiscus) is antibacterial and anti-parasitic and is moisturizing and soothing to the scalp, hair follicle and skin.
Avena Sativa Extract (Oatstraw) is highly nutritious, is rejuvenative and calming. Provides minerals to nourish bones, skin, hair, and nails.
Yucca Schidigera Extract (Yucca) breaks down organic wastes and is a natural surfactant (soap).
Gentiana Lutea Extract (Gentian root) may have antiseptic qualities and may help to bread down accumulated proteins and fats. May also help in the assimilation of nutrients like iron and vitamin B12.
Silybum Marianum Extract (Milk thistle) stimulates protein synthesis. Natural antioxidant, helps to detoxify drugs, alcohol, and chemicals.
Guar gum may absorb toxins.
Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium hair strengthener and volumizer. Naturally derived from the Guar tree, cationic conditioning agent used frequently in shampoos and conditioners.
Xanthan gum food - grade thickener that helps to retain moisture.
Lonicera Caprifolium/Japanica Flower Extract (Honeysuckle) a plant derived preservative. Preservatives extends the “shelf life” of products and without any your shampoo, etc. would only last a few months in the Refrigerator instead of a few years. Divine Response is made concentrated, using less water so that less preservative is needed.
Corn Starch Modified Divine Response uses this particular starch that is especially made for hair care products to add volume to hair with conditioning attributes.
Miscellaneous Ingredients:
BTMS (Behentrimonium Methosulfate) is the most mild and environmentally safe
conditioning agent Divine Response has found. Used in products as diverse as
baby products to hair color and relaxers for conditioning the skin and hair, as
well as styling aids, lotions, conditioners and shampoos.
Cetearyl alcohol: Naturally occurring fatty alcohol from coconut oil; emollient
and emulsifier that provides a creaminess to products and silkiness to skin.
Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) and Witch Hazel Water Floral Waters and
Distillates and Hyrosols: are produced by steam distillation. The condensate
from steam distillation produces two distinct fractions that contain the
volatile ingredients from the plant. The water insoluble fraction contains the
"oil." The water soluble fraction contains ingredients from the plant that are
water soluble.
Vegetable glycerin: is also known as vegetable glycerol. It is a carbohydrate
that is usually derived from plant oils. It is used as a sweetener and as an
ingredient in a number of cosmetic products. Vegetable glycerin is also used in
place of alcohol to extract botanicals.
Apple Cider Vinegar (from the “Mother”) The main ingredient of apple cider
vinegar, or any vinegar, is acetic acid. However, vinegars also have other
acids, vitamins, mineral salts, and amino acids.
Montmorillonite: is proven to be effective in use as an absorptive of heavy
metals, toxins, and hazardous chemicals. (part of Patent pending T.H.E. C.O.R.E.
:Toxic Halting Enhancer, Clay Organics Restoring Environments.)
Decyl Glucoside: Mild non-ionic surfactant used in cosmetic formularies
including baby shampoo and in products for individuals with a sensitive skin.
Sodium Lauroyl Lactylate: Mild non-ionic surfactant, derived from palm kernel
and sugar; a safe, skin-friendly cleanser for both skin and hair that
effectively removes surface oil, dirt and bacteria, without stripping or drying
sensitive skin.
Quillaja Saponaria Extract: Main properties of quillaja extracts are: surface
tension reduction, formation of persistent foam, fats and oils emulsifier.
Excellent shampoo composition with foaming and conditioning effects. The shampoo
composition is capable of enhancing adhesion of fatty acids & proteins to
damaged hair and improving combing after shampooing.
Caprylyl Capryl Glucoside: Coconut & sugar based mild surfactant, solubilitizing
and wetting agent, helps to integrate essential oils into water.
Combination of Sorbitan Laurate, Polyglyceryl laurate and Dilauryl Citrate are
all naturally derived from plant sources. Used in place of Propylene Glycol to
blend oils into water and keep product from separating. All help also to keep
your product stable.
Allantoin: The Allantoin from Divine Response is derived from Comfrey, and
functions as a skin conditioning agent and protestant. Allantoin also functions
as a hair strengthener.
Fatty Alcohol: These larger-chained alcohols are typically derived from natural
sources, and have 12 or more carbons per molecule (typically 12, 14, 16, 18, and
20). This higher amount of carbon content makes these molecules oilier (also
referred to as ‘fatty’). For this reason, they are often used as an emollient in
skin and haircare products. They give a smooth, soft feeling to the hair shaft
by helping the cuticle to lie flat on the surface of the hair.
HIGH GRADE, COLD PRESSED (ORGANIC WHEN AVAILABLE) OILS: As close to Nature as
possible. (Heat processing destroys vital vitamins and minerals.)
Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) has longest shelf-life of any carrier oil and helps
to keep other oils remain fresher when combined together.
Euterpe oleracea pulp oil (Rain Forest Acai Oil): Rich in essential fatty
acids, Omegas 3,6 and 9, has Revitalizing properties, anti-aging, antioxidant.
Passiflora edulis seed oil (Rain Forest Passion Fruit Oil): Strong
moisturizer,k Nutritive agent, High levels of Linoleic Acid, Rich on Omega 6.
Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba Seed) is actually a butter or “liquid wax” and is
closest to the skin’s own oil known as sebaceous glad oil that is found
everywhere on the skin. Jojoba is excellent for every kind of skin type and
softens as it treats dryness, psoriasis and eczema. Because of it’s similarity
to sebum, it absorbs easily, having no oily feel.
Rosa Canina Fruit (Rose Hip Seed) Oil moisturizes dry, mature, sensitive,
allergic, aging and problem skin. It is said to reduce inflammation, regenerate
scar tissue, help with wrinkles and age spots, and my help to prevent and fade
stretch marks. It contains vitamins C, E and a derivative of vitamin A.
Borago Officinalis (Borage seed) oil and or Oenothera Biennis (Evening of
Primrose) are high in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and have been known to slow
down the aging process of the skin. Excellent for dry skin, dermatitis, eczema,
and inflammation. Excellent for dandruff, psoriasis, and wounds and also may
prevent skin form premature aging.
Persea Gratissima (Avocado) oil easily absorbs into the skin, helps to reduce
age spots, softens and moisturizes dehydrated skin and hair. It is rich in
vitamins A, C, D and E, proteins, beta-carotene, potassium, lecithin, and fatty
acids. Helpful in reducing irritating rashes, inflammation, wounds and
dermatitis.
Oriza Sativa (Rice Bran) oil is a powerful antioxidant that is high in vitamin
E. Great for fine hair and face because of its light texture.
Vitamin Ingredients:
Panthenol (Vitamin B5) enhances the appearance and feel of hair, by increasing hair body, suppleness, or sheen, or by improving the texture of hair that has been damaged physically or by chemical treatment.
Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E) a fat-soluble vitamin is a naturally occuring antioxidant which can be isolated from vegetable oil. When isolated Tocopherol, is a viscous oil that varies in color from yellow to brownish red.
Citric Acid or Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C) is an essential nutrient required for collagen production, tissue repair, and for the synthesis of neurotransmitters. It also acts as an antioxidant, plays a role in resistance to infections, and is used for the treatment and prevention of scurvy. The U.S. Recommended Daily Allowance (RDA) for Ascorbic Acid is 75 mg/kg/day for women and 90 mg/kg/day for men. Citrus fruits (orange, lemon, grapefruit, lime), tomatoes and potatoes are rich dietary sources of Ascorbic Acid.
Magnesium Citrate derived from citric acid and also acts as an antioxidant. Topically aids in closing the hair's cuticle, adding shine and body.
